Spotlight On Nature: Dragonfly Pond & Monarch Waystation

Fall is a busy time of year for wildlife at Rancocas’ Dragonfly Pond and Monarch Waystation. Stop by the center anytime between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. and join a Rancocas naturalist for a close-up look at these mini habitats. The afternoon will include netting butterflies and other insects, pond sampling, and a Monarch tagging. Preregister at 609-261-2495. There is no charge for this program, but donations are encouraged.

This program for preschoolers and an accompanying adult focuses on gardens and plants, worms, soil/mud, and seeds. Each session will focus on a different aspect of gardening. Please dress accordingly. Preregister at 609-261-2495. There is no charge for this program, but donations are encouraged.
Speaking of Nature Series: The Nature of Poetry

7 pm - 8 pm
Join RNC member and literary artist, Hara Rola, for an evening of nature poetry. She will delight you with her poems that "paint a picture" of the natural world through words. There will also be a discussion about the natural world and what inspires her work. A poetry writing workshop will be included at the end of the program for those interested in composing their own poem. Preregister at 609-261-2495. Member Families Saturday Night Hike & Campfire

Bring the whole family to Rancocas for an all-ages, early evening hike at an easy pace to celebrate the beginning of the fall season. After which we’ll toast s-mores over a campfire and enjoy a September night under the stars. FRNC membership is required. Not a member? Call us or drop by the Center and ask about becoming one.
