TALES & TRAILS (ages 3+)
Wednesdays, December 4, 11, 18, January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 19 and 26 10:30 to 11:30 AM
The Rancocas Nature Preserve is beautiful throughout the seasons! Join us for this free family-friendly children’s program. Each session will start with a nature-themed storybook, then proceed with a hike on the trails to explore Rancocas during the colder months. This program is geared toward families with children ages 3 years and up. Babies in backpacks are welcome! Program is free (with a current Rancocas membership). Inclement weather cancels. WOODSY WONDERERS (ages 3 to 5)
Fridays, December 6, 13, January 10, 17, 24, 31 February 7, 14, 21 and 28 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Parental participation required.
Let’s get out and explore the outdoors and discover the wonders of nature! Each class will include a story, a nature exploration, student-led inquiry, and free play. Based on the “forest school” concept, this outdoor education model focuses on student interactions with natural spaces and offers hands-on learning in a woodland environment. This program is mostly outdoors and will take place with most types of weather including light drizzle and the cold. The exception is heavy rain/winds, thunderstorms, or other unsafe weather. Cost: $15/per child/per class, 5 or more classes for $12 per class (with a current Rancocas membership). Register online WOODSY WANDERERS

Children will learn and use the “Leave No Trace” principles as they explore the various habitats during the fall season on the Rancocas Nature Center Preserve.
