The Rancocas Nature Center Photography Club Our club seeks to provide members with an informal and supportive environment that will enable them to improve their technical knowledge, and cultivate their artistic vision through: - Mutual education and learning in the science and art of photography. - Promoting and encouraging advancement in the knowledge and practice of photography. - Furnishing a meeting place where its members may associate. - Presenting lectures, and demonstration of techniques. - Providing for Club and member participation in assignments, critiques, contests and field trips. - Sponsoring activities which further the purpose of the Club. - Encourage a mutually beneficial relationship between RNCPC members and the Rancocas Nature Center. Anyone interested in photography may become a member of the RNCPC by maintaining the status of member in good standing of the Rancocas Nature Center. The Rancocas Nature Center Photography Club is affiliated with the Rancocas Nature Center (RNC). The RNCPC is a non-profit club operating under the auspices of the RNC. |
Visit the Nature Center to see our ever-changing gallery.Our Club History: The club grew from some Rutgers Burlington County Master Gardeners who wanted to learn how to better photograph flowers (and support the Nature Center). Harold S. Buchanan, a professional photographer, offered to give a series of classes and workshops on photography skills at the RNC. The folks who attended the classes enjoyed them so much that they wanted to continue to learn and improve their skills, which formed the nucleus of the club.
