Dear Rancocas Nature Center, Our Eco-tourism class from RCBC would just all like to say thank you for the amazing tour you gave us on January 3rd of the area with the hike we took. We all learned so much by the end of it by listening, taking pictures, taking notes, etc. Our tour guide Mary Belko, was so amazing and smart, we couldn't have gotten more lucky! The nature center is truly a very special place and I and the rest of the class can't wait to come back to it. The tour was overall interesting, enjoyable, informative, and fun so thank you again for letting us be a part of what you do all year long.Have a great rest of your day.

Dear Mary, On behalf of the Friday Nighters Club I want to express our appreciation for the excellent program on Owls of New Jersey presented to us on November 2. As you probably were aware, it was enthusiastically received as indicated by the questions and comments. We are always glad to showcase the gems we have here in Burlington County and the Rancocas Nature Center is certainly one of those gems. Thank you again for sharing your time and expertise with our club. Your illustrations were a great addition to your presentation. Thank you again for your excellent presentation. I hope that I will have the opportunity of seeing you in the future and hearing another interesting and informative program. Sincerely yours,

"I am a volunteer at the Nature Center. I lead a hike once a month and give three hours a week at the front desk. The Rancocas Nature Center offers exciting experiences for all ages. Many preschool and school age programs introduce youngsters to the many aspects of nature. For adults, the trails offer the peace of the outdoors which has been shown to benefit health. History of the area includes Native Americans, Revolutionary War and 19th and 20th century occupants." - Al Hagovsky
"This is such an awesome place to visit. Behind the Nature Center itself is a cute little frog pond with tons of frogs. And then the trails are so amazing to walk along, under all those trees. The trails connect up to the Rancocas State Park trails, which makes for a lot of opportunities for hiking and discovery." - Kimberly Miller
"I absolutely LOVE this place. I have two young daughters and we go there at least 12 times a year. We call it "our backyard." We can easily kill a half a day hiking the trails, visiting the bees, watching the birds, checking out the dragonfly pond, playing alongside a creek, walking through a marsh, walking through a pine forrest, owl spotting, wondering through the nature center, etc. It has been an unbelievably fantastic catalyst to get my kids outside, active, and curious."-Karl Chase
"I am grateful to have the Nature Center as a strengthening tool for our revealing valuable experiences to our community and beyond. Thank you!!!!!" - Mary Weston
"Hidden gem with great trails for hiking, lots of historic areas, beautiful gardens and a museum." - Jorge Carmona

"Very informative hikes, helpful guides, friendly hikers." - Dawn Szeker
"Absolutely adore this place! We found it recently and fell in love! We’ve only gone to it during the fall season so far. Cannot wait to go in the summer. Every time we go we always see some sort of animal! We recently found out there’s an owl that lives there and have been busy trying to find it." - Heather Partyka
"What this park in the rain on Memorial Day had a good time and even found the apiary. Yes you can watch honey bees once you find the apiary and the garden. There's some nice walks by the river and then some nice medowie areas and the trees are beautiful. Going back on a sunny day for photographs." - Charles D. Smith

"The nature center was nice. There's usually a volunteer on hand to answer any questions you may have about the area and it's wildlife and resources. There's some live local wildlife exhibits, snakes, turtles, frogs, etc. There are a few different trails to hike too. Free admission and parking, but if you can, please consider a donation of some kind." - John Knauss
"The Rancocas Nature Center is a wonderful place to take a guided tour, take a solitary walk in the woods, spend time your children or grandchildren. I did not expect it to be such a robust resource for nature and the environment. New Jersey has so much to offer and it is captured at the Nature Center. I am looking forward to going back." - Anne Hoban
"It’s beautiful here! Please if you visit, leave no trace." - Michelle Bove
"What a nice spot to visit! The Nature Center and surrounding area is nice and we walked 4 miles on the trails. Saw a sweet doe with her fawn, turtles, a black racer snake and lush creek areas. Highly recommended for anyone, especially families!" - Heidi Nelson

"It is such a great place for a quick walk or a nice exercise session with nature as your background. A plus is having the old Indian reservation attached to the RNC so you can add numerous more trails to hike, walk or bike ride. Enjoy and don't forget to donate when you visit! Also the RNC hosts a photography club which you can find on Facebook." - Spence Miller
"Took my 4 -year- old granddaughter here as a trip out in this cold winter weather. What a great little treasure. Small but wow she loved it. We had just missed a story time (wished we hadn't) but there was plenty for her to investigate. Very natural setting, great historic house (just check out the floor to ceiling windows and the shutters!) and free. Bathrooms are a great treat as they each have murals of nature painted on the walls. Several turtles that come up to the face of the tank and "interact" with the viewer. Granddaughter LOVED this. Couple of snakes one that also took a liking to her attention. Bones, skins, and more to see and touch. Nice display on birds, nest and their eggs. Small display on local fossils. Please touch area and her favorite a full wall mural of meadow, trees and creek with magnetic critters to move and pose. There is also a small display on Timbuktu, a small, early, African American town just down the creek. The volunteers we meet were so nice to my granddaughter. Lots of upcoming events, literature and a gift shop. Donations are always appreciated. We look forward to investigating some of the nature trails when the weather improves. Nice treasure to find." - Kim D.
"I hadn't been to the Rancocas Nature Center since my 26 year old daughter was a Brownie Girl Scout. This past Sunday, my husband and I were looking for some place relatively nearby to go walking in the woods, and we wound up at the Rancocas Nature Center, which has about three miles of trails, including some boardwalk areas that would be wheelchair accessible. I took 82 pictures, so obviously there were some great views, especially on the orange trail that goes along the water. About a half mile from the parking near the building the trail joins the trails in Rancocas State Forest. Because we got a late start, we only went about a half mile into Rancocas State Park, but we definitely will come back again. The center itself has some interesting displays as well as enthusiastic volunteers. I saw online a variety of programs offered, including for pre-schoolers. Some picnic tables are available outside the center. Bathrooms are available inside the center, when it is open. The center closes at 4, the trails close at 5, and the gate is locked a half hour after dusk. Not sure exactly when that would be!! There are places to leave donations, but there is no entry fee for the Rancocas Nature Center. It would be a nice family trip. Definitely recommended." - GreenUnicorn

"We grew up on the property so this was a reminiscent day for sisters to hike our home 50 years later. But the center is wonderful with programs for all ages. Staffed with caring and knowledgeable folks. A great opportunity to learn about local flora and fauna. This place is all about the joy of the outdoors." - Queeniereads
"I didn't get a chance to stop in the Nature Center/museum & shop, but went through all the trails in the back. They were beautiful! Totally clearly marked and easy to walk. Definitely a good place for kids. A couple muddy spots as expected after the rain but you're good as long as you have sneakers on. As soon as I started on the trail I saw four huge white tailed deer. Be on the lookout for them! There's a nice little bridge and some walkways all along the trails. When you get to the bridge you can continue into Rancocas State Park and walk for miles and miles more. However, that section is open to hunting so staying on the Nature Center side is a good idea. The trails are open from dawn to dusk. Check out the Center's website for the museum & store hours. They also have all kinds of events for kids and families. ... Can't wait to go back here in the spring!" - Marissa S.

"First time I've been there to see the center. What an amazing place. So many educational displays inside.
